Carpet with goat motifs
The artefact
Renowned for its beauty, the carpet with goats is handcrafted with the full-bodied (tutto pieno) pibiones relief technique based on a design by the artist Maria Lai realised in 1981 for the textile cooperative Su Marmuri, in which the outline of the distinctive motif of the goat is stylised, whereas the weavers can freely interpret the inner part of the motifs.
